Supporting Local Charity
Last year, Syncro chose the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital as the company charity of the year. Over the course of the year Syncro is proud to have raised £6,500 for the charity through a range of fundraisers such as a family fun day, Christmas jumper day, guess the bear, as well as Syncro’s very own Sam Long completing the Manchester Marathon in aid of the cause. Syncro also held the Humphrey’s Charity Ball at Leigh Sports Village this month, with proceeds going to the hospital charity.
The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital cares for 276,000 children every year, the charity aims to support excellence in treatment, research and care that the hospital provides young patients. The money raised goes a long way in funding specialist equipment that helps diagnose children and provide crucial treatments – donations also help to make the environment as child friendly as possible.
Steve Long, Syncro Managing Director, commented: “It is a pleasure to support the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and the tremendous work they do. Being in hospital is an unpleasant experience for all of us, but for children in times of need it can be all the more traumatic – the work the charity does to fund expert care, treatment and research is a huge comfort to many in and around Manchester. As a business we are firm believers in helping to raise money for local charities wherever possible, the team have willingly taken it upon themselves to do an excellent job of raising money for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.”
