Emergency lighting

Emergency lighting provides the lighting required for use when the supply to normal lighting fails to enable the safe exit from a building. In the event of mains failure, the luminaires provide instant lighting for a minimum of three hours.

Syncro provides a complete design, installation and maintenance service for all types of emergency lighting system’ , all fully compliant with BS5266.

BS 5266 / Part1 1999 provides detailed guidance on where luminaires should be installed and the minimum levels of illumination for escape routes and open areas, together with the minimum period of lumination duration of the luminaire after failure of normal lighting. The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) regulations 1996, requires that adequate provision of exit and safety signs be provided and which are to be illuminated by emergency lighting.

Public Address / Voice Alarms

Syncro VA/PA systems integrate with your fire detection systems to aid controlled evacuation of buildings by means of clear, broadcasted, pre-recorded spoken messages.

The system automatically broadcasts specific messages to either alert people to danger or action prompt evacuation, i.e. direct them out through the nearest safety exits.

A correctly designed and installed Syncro voice alarm system provides the peace of mind that the facility exists for emergency warnings to be conveyed clearly, calmly and concisely. Syncro also offers ongoing service and maintenance of all (including all other manufacturers) voice alarm systems.


Portable Fire Fighting Equipment

Tackling a small fire with a fire extinguisher may make the difference between a small incident and a full scale disaster.  Extinguishers are essential for the safety of your staff and visitors. They can also help the preservation of property and ensure business continuity by not letting a small fire develop into a major one.

Syncro’s range of portable fire extinguishers bears the BSI kitemark and covers most areas of risk’ from the fabric of the building to high risk applications.

Syncro has accumulated a wealth of experience in the design, installation and service of fixed fire suppression systems to protect a wide range of hazards and industrial processes.  The range of components available from Syncro enables systems to be engineered to suit individual requirements.

We also provide Halon removal and disposal which is undertaken at an environmentally safe and certified disposal facility.
